The borehole survey undertaken in the summer of 2015 made it possible to distinguish stratigraphic layers, which could be cautiously associated with the filling of agricultural boundary ditches but unfortunately no dating evidence could be identified.

Bureaucratic difficulties prevented implementation of the intended programme of test excavations but thanks to the support and collaboration of the Toscana Superintendency we expect to overcome these problems for the following years
